Art & Writing from D. Kannapan

December 2025

Happy December!

I'm just coming off of 10 delightful days of drawing mammals. Bunnies, dogs, prairie dogs, and more. It was good practice for my art skills, a chance to go through my old photos, and an excuse to zoom in on cute little furry faces.

You can check out the gallery of all the art I made here.

And to top that off, here is a selection of my other art and writing you may have missed.

This zine is here to ask a lot of questions, answer a few, and get you thinking ...

How Do We Increase Adoption of Reusable Coffee Cups?

I’ve been curious about the logistics of reusable coffee cups, since they are a good case study for sustainability in the food industry. (And I love coffee. And mugs.)

Grabbing a quick coffee on the go is ingrained in a lot of people’s lifestyles. What would it take to modify this habit to eliminate waste from the use of disposable cups?

My TEDx Talk Experience

I think I have the public speaking bug

Around 2022, I got it into my head that I wanted to try giving a TEDx talk. I remembered reading on a blog somewhere that it was a good way to reach new readers, and I was looking for non-social-media ways to build a platform for my climate writing.

In the Works

This month I'm mostly working on video editing. You might see a little more activity from me on YouTube next month. I can't predict what I'll actually finish and post first, so we'll all have to wait and find out what the activity will be.

Hope you are having a great end of the year. Catch you next in 2026!

Best,

--Deepti

P.S. I'm starting to send these round-ups more regularly. You can find all recent newsletters here, so feel free to delete them from your inbox if the file sizes get big.

Art & Writing from D. Kannapan May 2026 My new book, Aseb Faces the Sand. (You're receiving this email because you subscribed to my work, via one of several platforms including Medium and Luma. You can unsubscribe at any time.)Happy May! My big update is that I wrote another (tiny) book, called Aseb Faces the Sand. It's a prequel to my other novel, and the story is based on a game we played at the Fire's Ally launch party. Two rival wagon-makers journey into the desert, to prove their mastery...
